I run two Dungeons & Dragons (5e) campaigns in a homebrew setting:
World map made with the awesome Azgaar's Fantasy Map Generator.
The known world is roughly the size of Western Europe with sub-tropical to alpine and tundra climates. Low tier magic is widely acessible and taught, however expert mages and powerful magical items are still rare. The industrial revolution is still a far off dream, and trade is done by sea and through a glitchy, but widespread, teleportation network.
Fall of an Empire
The first campaign runs since 2019. At its backdrop a huge empire is slowly dissolving into independent duchies and kingdoms through a war of succession. In it the heroes struggle to keep their little corner of the world safe from foreign invasions, a plague of extra dimensional pests, and a grudge match between the gods. This game is full of intrigue, warring nobles, displaced fae, scheming dragons, infighting mafia, and hiding cults, all topped with an angel in hiding and his estranged wife taking on the local pantheon. The campaign has a heavy dose of role-play and skilled players who bring the world to life.
